Lloyd also wrote "Foreclosure Investing" (Regency Publishing) to educate real estate investors on buying foreclosures. Lloyd’s newest book is called “Flipping Houses” which describes how to get started finding, financing, fixing, and flipping houses. In 2005, Lloyd traveled to New Orleans and volunteered in the recovery after Hurricane Katrina destroyed the city and killed over 1,800 residents. In 2010, Lloyd went to Port-a-Prince after an earthquake devasted Haiti, aiding in the relief and recovery efforts that destroyed homes and killed over 160,000 people! Lloyd would have done it again in 2014 after a typhoon and tsunami destroyed Phuket, Thailand, but was stopped at the border because he didn’t have sufficient vaccinations. And of course, Lloyd will volunteer again when the next natural disaster inevitably strikes somewhere in our world.
Lloyd is an avid horseman. His passion is polo. He is a member of the United States Polo Association, and the former President (nine years!) of the Will Rogers Polo Club in Pacific Palisades, California.
The Los Angeles Real Estate Investors Club (“LAREIC”) is the oldest (23 years) and largest investor club in California. The Vendor Expos, Basic Training Boot Camps, Out-of-State Investing Summits, LAREIC.TV, Annual Grand Expos, reconfigured website, and expanded Gold Membership activities, are just some of the new activities instituted by Lloyd and his team The next time you attend a LAREIC event, be sure to come up and say hello to Lloyd. He is always eager to meet new members and hear your suggestions to improve and expand club activities.
Lloyd is very excited to join with Sam and Linda to present this annual GRAND EXPO to the Southern California real estate community.
Linda Pliagas is the founder and publisher of Realty411 Magazine, the longest-running magazine in the nation owned by the publisher. Linda Pliagas has formally studied and worked in both media and real estate for over twenty years. Linda holds a bachelor’s degree in print journalism from California State University, Long Beach. She was a recipient of the Bobit Magazine Scholarship for her accomplishment in publishing her first national magazine while still a student at CSULB. The lifestyle magazine was distributed in national bookstores across the nation. She began her realty career nearly 20 years ago as a broker’s assistant to a young investor who became a multimillionaire by age 29 fixing and flipping homes. When they worked together, he was a seminar devotee and took educational training around the nation with some of the greatest masters in the industry. She kept a close ear to his teachings, obtained her real estate license, and began to focus more on the investing side of the real estate industry. Soon, Linda began to help her family, friends and colleagues also invest in rental properties, particularly out of state. Linda has been a licensed real estate agent for over 17 years, although she currently is not an active agent because operating Realty411, and serving their many sponsors and clients, takes up all her time. She has been a California landlord for over 25 years and has also invested in four other states as well.

Sam's Real Estate Club
Over the past 28 years, Sam Sadat has been involved in more than 2,000 real estate transactions as a principal, partner, lender or broker. During this time, he's helped thousands of aspiring investors learn the real estate business the right way and apply their knowledge confidently to prosper greatly. Sam came to America as a teenager over 40 years ago. He studied physics and engineering at the University of Texas in Austin before moving to Los Angeles in the late 70's. After working in the engineering field for a year he realized his heart wasn't in it. In his words; "I belong out there connecting and networking with people rather than working on objects all day long." Besides, his enterprising spirit wasn't going to allow him to get trapped in a 9-5 job as an employee. Sam got his Real Estate License, trained with the best mentor in business and started his own company, Aim Financial, in Encino. In a few short years, his company was a top producing brokerage firm in Los Angeles.
1994 wasn't a kind year to Sam, as the Northridge Earthquake shook his world and turned it upside down. Having lost his home in Santa Monica and other investments, he moved to Denver, CO with his family in 1995 and embarked upon a soul searching sabbatical for almost a year. In his words; "This was perhaps the best year of my life. Every day I meditated for hours while hiking the entire Rockies with a good friend."
Sam's journey of self-discovery changed his life forever. In 1996, with a rejuvenated spirit, he got back to work and established a new company, Global Financial Network. Once again, GFN reached the top within a few years and was funding over $100 million annually. Currently, Global Financial Network, LLC is an NMLS licensed private lending firm specializing in financing of “fix and flip” or “buy and hold” investment properties in Southern California. "Although I loved Colorado, my heart was back home in Southern California."
Sam returned home to his beloved Santa Monica in 2002 and started his Real Estate club in 2003. Sam always dreamed of having his own educational forum where he could teach, inspire and motivate others to achieve their full potential in life and business. Sam knows anyone can succeed in real estate -- but not without a good mentor which led to the creation of his VIP Mentorship Programs that are affordable, practical and powerful. Over the years, Sam’s true passion has become to use his depth of knowledge to educate beginners, as well as the veterans, on the latest trends and proven strategies. He teaches that only through the process of continuing education in slow dosages can an investor assimilate the necessary. All of this experience has made Sam Sadat one of the true renaissance men in the real estate industry. He believes that life is not just a race to see who dies with the most toys (or apartment buildings), but instead, about the journey along the road to success, all while nurturing our inner child by growing mentally and spiritually.
