Steve is the winner of 2022 “HousingWire Vanguard Award.” He is a transformational executive who pioneered the way foreclosures sales were priced, marketed, and auctioned during the 2008 downturn. Today, he continues to innovate and improve outcomes in foreclosure through the development and introduction of key buyer enablement tools and services that have made a meaningful difference to Auction.com and the industry it serves.

Under Steve’s leadership, Auction.com’s “Foreclosure Auction Service Division” has not only continued to innovate via technologies such as AuctionSyncTM and Foreclosure Remote BidTM, but also dramatically increased the company’s foreclosure auctioneering footprint through efforts focused on managing government affairs, engaging with state legislatures, and creating new strategic relationships among key state and county-level stakeholders. Prior to Auction.com, Steve spent 10 years at Bank of America in roles including corporate strategy, business transformation, and automated valuations. In the 2008 housing market downturn, Steve led the team responsible for credit loss mitigation for all disposition channels (i.e. short sales, foreclosures, and Real Estate Owned (REO). He is a graduate of UC Davis and University of Texas at Austin, and now resides in California with his wife and two children.
